All aluminum construction with safety breakaway.

Downrod length is 72 inches maximum and can be cut to custom fit the boat.

Baseplate is 12 inches long and is welded aluminum construction.

Mounting on the boat is a 4×4 aluminum sub plate which is 3/8 inch thick

Baseplate can be removed from the edge of the boat by removing two nylon thumbscrews.  These thumbscrews also act as a strain relief should the downrod hit underwater obstacles
